How it works
The Goal Jar is a shared marble jar for one big family prize at a time — think Pizza Friday or a day out. The owner adds marbles when the house earns them. When the jar is full, you celebrate together and can print a certificate.
It’s different from the Reward Jar, which gives individual treats to one person. Goal Jar is the win everyone shares.

Open the Goal Jar
- On the home dashboard, tap the Goal Jar / trophy progress chip in the top bar (e.g. 7/10 when a goal is active).
- Or open Manage on your home → Goal Jar.
Don’t see it / locked? Goal Jar needs Chorish Plus. Tap Unlock in the app, or browse What is Chorish Plus?.
Set a family goal
- Open the Goal Jar. If there’s no active goal, you’ll see Set a family goal.
- Enter the prize title (e.g. “Pizza Friday”) and an optional note.
- Choose marbles to fill: 5, 10 (default), or 15.
- Tap Start Goal Jar.
Only one active goal per home at a time.
Add a marble
- Open the Goal Jar ceremony.
- Under Why this marble?, pick a reason (e.g. Great teamwork, Whole board clear, Everyone helped, or Other).
- Tap Add a marble.
You’ll briefly see Undo last marble if you tapped by mistake — use it quickly. There’s no standing “remove marble” control after that.
Members can see progress but can’t add marbles — that’s owner-only.
When the jar is full
- When you hit the target (e.g. 10 / 10), the owner taps Celebrate!
- You’ll see a celebration screen for the prize.
- Tap Print or share for a Goal Jar certificate, Start next goal, or close when you’re done.
The app records the prize as earned. You still hand out the real-world treat yourself.
History and replacing a goal
- Completed goals appear in Goal Jar history. Owners can clear history if needed.
- Replace goal starts a new prize — progress on the unfinished goal is discarded and won’t appear in history. Confirm before you replace.

- Reward Jar — individual treats for one person; Select on free, Spin with Plus.
